HOME PAGE

The refinement process for my homepage started with adding animations to the design. I started off with adding an 'expand in' animation to the white square.

In Adobe Animate i created Animated succulents to continuously loop across the page next to the title at the top. I came across a problem with this as the loop wasn't working which meant it wouldn't continuously play.

Here i moved all the imagery and graphics in within the border and then chose a colour that fit my theme for the side panels. I felt as though this neatened my site up and made it feel more like a website.

I decided that the home page needed for features so i added a SALE button which linked the the sale page.

I included some extra features which showcased the hanging succulents. The shop now button links to that particular page also.

Lastly for the home page it needed to include a sign up section for customers to recieve emails for different type of specials and offers. I placed this down the bottom in order to have an option once people like what they viewed on the home page.

I felt as though the page was plain and boring. To refine this page i added text features. I included shipping information to ensure that it would be read before ordering rather then putting it on a different page.

I also continued on with the pink borders along the side to create continuity between the pages.

Here i added a 'sale' page. I created a flashing sale GIF in Adobe Animate. This created movement on my page and interactivity. Its also eye catching to the viewers and customers as the flashing grabs their attention. I made the font basic and solidified to create meaning and a statement.

To refine this design i added colour into my illustrations to eliminate the black and white contrasting colours. The brighter colours also add a fun and creative feature to the page.

Once again i placed them in the same positions as i felt that the positioning worked well with the text.

To refine my about page i included an extra section that consisted of contact details and trading hours for my store and garden.

I also added extra photos on the slideshow of images.
