Statement of intention
My intention is to design a Corporate Identity for ‘The Succulent House’. This will require me to produce five different graphics to promote the Business. These components will consist of a logo, business card, plant price tag, social media, purchase postcard, a website and an App. The target audience for my corporate identity will be targeted at both males and females aged 15 – 30.
Functional Outcomes
In order to create my Six graphics I will be using a combination of the Adobe programmes available, which include, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop which I will use to create my graphics. I will also me using Adobe Capture to edit the photos and Wix to showcase my website for the business.
Considerations
Throughout the development stages of my graphics I will be ensuring that my designs are appealing, to do this I will be considering my target audience at all times. Another consideration is to make my colour pattern flow and match by using a colour palette for each design. The colour palette can consist of dark or bright colours, as the design I am aiming for my logo is modern and minimalistic. I will also consider that I am staying inside of my theme by incorporating ‘succulent’ imagery.
Constraints
There are numerous constraints that may contribute to the outcome of my corporate identity that I will need to manage to ensure that the final graphics are completed to a high standard. A major time constraint is that there is not much time given to complete this this task, including the website which is the minor product, to the best of my ability. Too complete these graphics at a high stand I need to manage my time effectively. Another time constraint is going and taking pictures at a succulent farm and editing them. This is a constraint on time as I am new to using the Adobe suite and I will have to watch tutorials and learn. A final constraint that may impact the overall product is the amount of internal memory space that is on my laptop. I have downloaded the Adobe Creative Cloud to use the programs to produce the components for the corporate identity; this resulted in having a limited amount of space to save files on my MacBook.
